The Mwelu Foundation has been at it again!!

Mwelu (named after Founder, born-and-raised Mathare resident and now successful and renowned photographer/journalist, Julius Mwelu) is a self-help group operating in the Mathare Valley slum of Nairobi alongside “ambitious, positive and talented young people”, helping them to realise their potential through photography and film production.

Their latest film talks about a 14 year old, Clinton Maronji, his life of bhang (cannabis) and msii (jet fuel) on the streets in Mathare and of his hopes to one day attend school. Its an eye opener!
